This project was my final master's project at Labasad Design Institute. The main theme explored obesity from the perspective of dependency on drugs like Ozempic to combat it. These pharmaceutical solutions fail to address the underlying structural issues such as poverty and inequality. Moreover, medical stigma often places the burden solely on patients, overlooking the broader social complexities. While medications like Ozempic provide short-term benefits, obesity remains a chronic issue that requires profound changes in habits and the surrounding environment. My creative proposal combines visual metaphors with a touch of humor to highlight the paradox of a capitalist society that promotes consumption while attempting to resolve its consequences with expensive, temporary, and inaccessible medicines, without tackling the root of the problem.
